Team Trials Ignored by AMA

AMA or MA did not loose their direction; they have decided that park fliers
and high-back-leather-chairs with microphones at each sitting station in the
main conference room are the new direction. I think everybody knows that
Eric represents "us" to the MA people, and not the other way around. It is
sad that they cut down our 2-3 pages of precision aerobatics to every other
month.

Gray,

Hold on, AMA really do need to aim for the middle of the target. Don't blame
the organization.

I'm just saddened that MA is no longer devoting a portion of its pages to
the healthy cross-pollenation between different areas and intensity levels
in the hobby, as a policy.

Eric's points should be well taken (and I know this 'cause I wrote for Bob
for many years): the regular columns are for this sort of thing.

That's why my ears picked up when I read Tony's comment.

I'm just dismayed that the Sunday flier thinks that the "Indianapolis
Effect" doesn't work to his advantage.

The typical AMA member (not some behind the scenes big-brother) is demanding
that MA stop printing the stuff. Funny, they could just flip the page!

That's why the Bradbury reference.

Regards and remember, as Eric said, we can make it better!

Very good!
My take on the situation is that AMA has become a business that is driven by
the hobby industry and is more interested in new members and growing it's
membership than in taking care of the things and people groups that brought
it to where it is today.
Seems to me that good leadership should be able to provide both.
