Polarized Sunglasses

Bill,
Sunglasses are a very subjective thing and everyone's different. I have a pair of Bolle polarized sunglasses and hate em. Just too much contrast for me. A friend of mine loves them. I also have a pair of Serengetti Driver's and hate em - not enough contrast, though I do like them for driving. Other guys I know love em. For me, on a normal sunny day, you just can't beat good old Ray Ban's with G-15 lenses. These are said to give the truest color and contrast. But again, that's just me. Some guys use Ray Ban's on normal days, Serengetti's on overcast days, and polarized lenses on those "in your face" super bright days. Only way you'll know what works best for you is to try em. Borrow some if you can. Each experiment is about a hundred bucks if you get the high quality stuff.

Are polarized sunglasses okay to use for pattern flying? Are there any drawbacks in using polarized sunglasses?
