O.S. Starting was type F Plug

I watched guys hands start RX's and efi's all last year but can't seem to
get it right. My problem is the first start of the day. My procedure now is
to put the plane inverted in a cradle prime and use my Dynatron on 24V to
start. After the first start I can flip through with a chicken stick for the
rest of the day.
Also, for those using the Piedmont homeade softmount how is you battery
life? With four digitals and one standard I am using about 300 mah per 10
min flight. The servos I am using are pretty high draw but I am also get
some good aileron blur at idle. Thinking of switching to the Hyde ARI but
am in sticker shock. Anyone have experience with these they can share.
TIA

Anthony
