Sustaining Knife edge?

If I'm understanding correctly, engine thrust would pull the plane to the
left(why we add Right Thrust to compensate) so going from Right to Left,
seeing top of plane in knife edge, the engine would pull the plane down,
which is opposite from what you said it is doing so don't think it is that.

I'm not a full scale pilot and this is frequently argued, but I have noticed
any manuever going into the wind will require LESS surface movement to
accomplish the task, as opposed to going down wind. Typically, 4 pt rolls
and slow rolls are usually easier to do into the wind as the amount of
control needed to maintain heading and altitude is less than when a person
flies them downwind(the way they always are in competition)
Another example is a loop, mostly into the wind you only give so much
elevator to begin the loop, but try one downwind and to accomplish the same
thing, not accounting for wind drift, you have to pull more elevator to get
the plane to pull the same radius.

Thirdly, agree with Del, you may be getting different throws or ability to
hold the rudder with airflow one direction better than the other.
Especially if it is not a Pull PUll setup.
