Adam
Send it to Horizon Hobbies they will fix it, maybe in warranty. The gears are worn. I had the same problem with a 8411 recently.

Subject: Cause of servo problem?

After some use, one of my JR 8417 servos I have in the aileron is started doing a weird thing. If I deflect the aileron a lot, and then let go of the stick and let it snap back to center, it will get to center and start bouncing back and forth about 5 degrees at a pretty good frequency. I can stop it by moving the stick or touching the aileron, and I have been flying it like this for about 10 flights now with no noticeable problem in the air.

Bad pot? gears? servo ruined?

Hoping someone has seen this before and knows the fix,
Adam Glatt
