FAI F3AL---Pattern IMAC combined

Tony,

I can imagine so. Had it happen to me once. Just me and a 40% Edge in the air at the same time. We where both practicing for a contest (he IMAC and I pattern) and mid aired. My plane survived but his brand new edge was destroyed.
This is another subject matter about BIG Birds. At the two clubs I fly at everyone scatters or is grounded till these guys get out of the air because they are afraid of the possibility of midairing a hovering giant. Big is beautiful but there is going to be a draw back somewhere.

Isn't there a much bigger risk of mid-airs when you have a giant scale
airplane in the same "box" as an F3A model?
