NO NEW CLASS!
As an over 55 pilot, considerably over at that, I don't want any special
class. I'll fly FAI or Masters with the young guys thank you very much.
When I get to the point it's not safe to fly these classes, it won't be
safe for me to fly any pattern class and I'll fly or do something else.
And I don't have to be competitive for a win to have fun flying pattern. 

Don't forget the other competition you always have, and that's with
yourself to see how well you can fly. For that competition you don't
have to worry about how you compare to any one else. 
I'll bet a lot of the "older guys" feel the same way too.
