CD's Competing

We all love to fly or we wouldn't bother. A CD does a tremendous favor for the community, if he wants to fly I sure wouldn't complain. There will always be anal individuals that need something to complain about or make an excuse for a less than favorable performance on there part.
I flew a contest as a Co-CD and didn't fly worth a hoot ( and that's being polite). I had a ton on my mind and didn't want to slow down the contest with my flights but wanted the experience in front of the judges. I didn't fly my last two rounds as we were hurting for Judges and I stayed in a chair the rest of the day. I was happy to do so and I am sure any CD or Co - CD would do the same if it became necessary.
The main thing is to enjoy the fellowship and flying and leave the politics at home. Life has enough stress without bringing it into our "game".
Gee, it must be a Monday!
Regards
Bill

I understand..and there is SO MUCH at stake. Some guy, 81 years old on his death bed says, my life was great except for in 2003 when I should have won that pattern district 36 championship.....I was robbed by a flyin' CD. Any CD who can fly and put on a contest I say great. It takes alot of work for a CD and all they get is the CLAP at the end of a contest.
I guess I really do not understand this situation. What I do know is that except for a few, this is a hobby. This is supposed to be fun and no doubt there will always be cry babies....when my 8 year old daughter says "Its Not Fair" I do not always listen then either. Just because she says it does not mean it is true, and if it is you sometimes have to say ...so what!!
Thanks to the guys who become CD's. If you want to fly okay with me and I would say ignore the others or threaten to cancel the contest.....Then what would they say?? If I were a CD I would not fly do to the work load, but some have got it down and can handle it. ANY contest is better than none at all...
Signed ...Not so compassionate today.......

The problem is perception, either way it's tricky.

Never been one to suspect that there is any kind of serious favoritism....perhaps the opposite.

Hey all
Am curious about opinions on a CD competing in the contest also.
Good, Bad, OK as long as he/she does their job etc.
Thanx in advance.
Ed
