Keith: Why not pose this question to Bill Baxter, head of the O.S.Service department?
You can reach him via RC Universe,in the O.S.Engine portion where various manufacturer's reps answer questions about their particular product.
This will also ensure a fair bit of worldwide publicity.

Has anyone, especially someone who is sponsored by OS, talked to them about the rear bearing problems with the OS 1.40? Is there anything they can or will do? Is O.S. working on a solution?

Wayne: I have run .61's,with both seals in, and only one seal in,and it made no difference.
I suspect it would be the same with the 1.40, BUT if a seal should let go,it would be hard on the piston/cylinder assembly.
I never removed any grease. It will be gone after a run or three.

After extracating the bearing last night my suspicions where confiremed.
The bearing was rusty and was rather rough. New bearings from Purvis going
in tonight.. BTW $14.95 ea for bearings by Bearings liimited #61904-2RS.
Do you guys remove the seal or leave it in? I have heard of doing it both
ways.
