Yes,
That was Bruno's Marabu, like the stork.
He used it to win the '69 and '71 Worlds.

Shel,...

Now you've got my curiosity piqued!! If I am nothing else,.. I'm a
sucker
for older pattern designs. I'd love to see what info and pictures you
come
up with!!

Upon seeing your original message I scanned through RCM plans catalog,
figuring that if Bill Cunningham ever published that design, that would
where
it would be. Unfortunately I struck out there. However I seemed to
recall a
plane very similar in name in the Model Airplane News plans catalog and
I was
right!!

I found a plane called a Malabu MK III however it was designed by Bruce

Giezendanner. The plane was featured as a construction article in the
July
1972 issue of Model Airplane News. Wing span is 66 inches, length 53.
I
don't know if that is what you are looking for, but from the small B&W
photo
in the plans catalog it looks like a warmed over Kaos.

Let me know if I can be of any more help to you. And, please let me
know
what the other guys turn up for information!!

Sincerely,
Steve Teerlinck
Monson, Massachusetts
