Interesting observation Jeff. Here's one more for you. The metric should be a
constant but it isn't. What bearing feels gritty to me, doesn't to you, or
vice versa. Or is the metric "if you can hear the engine's bearing noise, it's
time for a change". Or is it something else entirely
After-run treatment perhaps may not be as important as "running treatment". I
suspect there-in lies much of the answer, with control of cooling and lean
running conditions, being up at the top of the chart.
