Are they restricted to any particular States or, for example, could you be a redneck in NJ?

Hi Eric,
I'm sure you could attend a home-schooled course in the setting of shag
carpet, milk crates for seats, and real chalk boards for paper, but I'll
send you some hints anyway.
1. Regardless of accent or garment selection, if someone mentions "NASCAR"
(with reverence), they are at a minimum a closet redneck.
2. If you can't actually hear them speak, look for a well-worn tank-top
(AKA wife-beater). These are a definite favorite for those in the warmer
climates.
3. Sometimes a clan of rednecks can be spotted in the newer circumstance
derived from the old saying "circle-the-wagons." Mobile homes, trailer
parks, homes on wheels (or blocks), are circled in the modern residential
setting. Space limited.
