I flew the same set up using 17x10N APC prop on a DP Extra. I was getting
around 8250 rpm. I tried 17x12 and was too much load for the engine. I have
only one problem flew trough the sun and lost the plane. I agree likes to run
rich. Don't try to adjust for peak RPM on ground and fly. You need to open at
least 1/4 of the turn from peak on ground if you don't use a pump. I think the
17x10W could be better but never had chance to try. I used 20% nitro.
