The heat will melt the superglue before the Loctite. You could try epoxy
instead.

If the firewall is already damaged, just cut it out and start repair
from there.

Well, thanks for all the suggestions. I'll try the superglue and heat
method first, but as the locknut tangs have spun their way into the
firewall, I don't have a lot of hope. Repairing this plane has
officially turned into a winter project when I will have more patience.
I'll put the emphasis on finishing up my Jekyl Bipe.

I had a bad landing during severe wind conditions the other day and 
the engine mount tore. When I first built the plane, the engine mount 
kept loosening up, so I loctited the bolts. Now the loctite is so 
strong that the blind nuts are turning on the firewall! No room to get 
pliers in there, so I don't know how to get the bolts out at the 
moment. Anybody out there have any suggestions?


Jeff assuming that the engine was removed already, see if you can at
least CA the blind nuts only, back into the firewall. Then take a
soldering iron and heat the bolts from the front of the plane, to soften
the Loctite
