Loctite

Well, thanks for all the suggestions. I'll try the superglue and heat method first, but as the locknut tangs have spun their way into the firewall, I don't have a lot of hope. Repairing this plane has officially turned into a winter project when I will have more patience. I'll put the emphasis on finishing up my Jekyl Bipe.

I had a bad landing during severe wind conditions the other day and
the engine mount tore. When I first built the plane, the engine mount
kept loosening up, so I loctited the bolts. Now the loctite is so
strong that the blind nuts are turning on the firewall! No room to get
pliers in there, so I don't know how to get the bolts out at the
moment. Anybody out there have any suggestions?
Jeff assuming that the engine was removed already, see if you can at least CA the blind nuts only, back into the firewall. Then take a soldering iron and heat the bolts from the front of the plane, to soften the Loctite
matt
