Use stain remover called CR2 or C2R (not sure which one, I hope I am in a
ball park <G>) generally available in Wall Mart. It dries as a white powder
and soaks oils very well.

Subject: Epoxy etching
I need some help to get a repair that will last. I have a carbon
fiber/epoxy cowl that had a minor encounter of the dirt kind a while back.
The seam tape shear separated from the cowl on one half of the seam. I
cleaned the area as best I could and then flowed some epoxy under the
hardened seam tape and all appeared well.
Well it has separated again. This area of the canopy is always wet with
dripping fuel and oil. Is it even possible to get this area clean enough
to get a good epoxy bond? Is there a good cleaner/etcher someone can
recommend to help improve the bond?
