Well If you're getting 8300-8500 on 25% with the 15-12W that's about all
I ever got out of an a 140L.......I have never run the Mezlik props but
the 16-12 APC was too much load for an "L" unless I was running 30%+
I think your motor is probably just fine....Another thing peak it out
and run it just about 300 rpm short of peak. This will be on the rich
side. But it will help keep it cool.
If you want more power got to some Cool Power 30% heli performance
fuel....The "L" will like it. In fact it will love it just like the
DZ's.....
I'm using this fuel in everything now. Horizon recommends this fuel for
the Saito motors...and I'm even running it sport planes with
.46's......This is really good fuel...I don't know of anybody that has
tried it and not liked it.

Oops, forgot a couple of key details!
Running 25% Cool Power - at sea level.
I did run an APC 15-12W - it was tach'ing about 8300-8400 on the ground.
I'm getting much better performance out of the Mezlik 16-12, even though
it's only turning ~7800-8000 on the ground.
The engine has fewer than 2 dozen flights on it since a Performance
Specialities (Verano/Shadel) rebuild. (It didn't have much more than
that number before the rebuild, either. Rebuild was done because I sent
it in with a complaint of difficulty starting, not because of crash
damage).
