One thing to watch out for is that when you charge from a car battery source
you have to be sure that you do not ground out your charger through the Glow
plug connector. It will depend upon the polarity of the car model. It is
easy  test to see if you have a potential problem.

Also the glow connector leads tend to have a plain wire and a fine ribbed
wire, if you look very closely. This helps in determining polarity.

No, it really does not matter!  You will find that one connection is at the
NEG of the battery post.  That should actually be the "shield" of the glow
clip.
