Fixed gear vs. retracts

Anyone removing the gear from the wings for transportation if so how do you
have them mounted.??

Traditional was as a double "L" shape putting a torque wire along the wing
with an anchor up through the wing.  Normally the torque portion was held in
place with a couple of straps.

Downside was the weight of the block of wood to hold the screws.

Anyone improved on this.
