Columnists do not have the right to defame, slander,
calumniate or libel people.

Done.  I've sent two e-mails to Mike.  Spoke with Bob Hunt
on the phone today.  I expect I'll hear nothing from Dave
Brown; he seems not to answer his mail.

I never made that suggestion.

I do think that as the president of our organization you
might report to the AMA that many members took offense
at the quotation in Mike Hurley's article.  You might
ask that, as a general rule, columnists be asked to
refrain from taking shots at other SIGs.

You don't have to do this if you don't want to.  It's
just a suggestion, not a command.
