yep my bad...double the weight in the nose not double the weight in the tail.....it sounded Huge....but was thinking in terms of saving weight so slipped past....

3-4oz in the nose is about 1.5-2ozs in the tail....Which is possible to save in building.....

I think you have this backward. I believe it would take only one or two ozs. at the tail to offset an increase of 3.5 ozs for motor mount.

That equals a 3.5oz savings over your home brew....On the tail that means about 6-7ozs to balance just the motor mount

Could anyone give me the weight of a Hyde mount for a 1.40? The one that
requires a nose ring specifically (AR) I believe. I made a homemade soft mount
that looks great and seems sturdy but weighs in at a hefty 5.5 oz.
