Has anyone every had this complaint..

It's rare that anyone is asked to judge when they are new to the sport. 
It's important to let a person absorb and become familiar with contests to 
the point where all the activities "slow down" and are less stressful. 
Usually in your second year you would be asked.  By this time you will 
realize that being a judge is as important to your improvement as flying.
