I saved an email on the subject. Eric H. and Troy N. were talking about them. Here it is... Emory.

Subject: Re: JR 8411's Alloy gears Vs Nylons

The gears I'm using are 911 or 9011 gears sets.....all get replaced except for the Alloy output gear...Which I like because I get the security of a machine screw to hold on the servo wheel and the tightness of a nylon gear train.....

They seem to work very very well. Speed and torque seem to be identical...(have not done scientific tests...just my thumbs)....and the gear trains seem to last longer.....The 9411's I flew at the NATS were 100% stock....Got home and stuck some new ones with 9011 gears in and have flown them since.....I have already passed the number of flights I had with the alloy gears and they are performing well....

I chose to test this on my own as a result of the 8411SA success. The 9011 is a very good precision servo and it has proven its self to me in the past. The results of this test are not finished but so far I have about 100 flights and no problems at all....Things are going just like clockwork.

I was wondering if there are any nylon gears that will interchange with the 9411 (not 8411). And if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks in advance, Terry
