Mike

I have read that the original duralites (using Triden cells) were rejected
by Emerson cell phone company, but they were lithium metal

let me clarify.

The cell phones, lap tops etc use the flat polymer type cells. These are
much safer than some others being marketed to R/Cers. It is my understanding
that this was not an isolated incident, and there has been at least one
recall that I know of.

I strongly suggest if you are using these or are interested that you check
the manufacturer's safety data sheets for yourself. A quick search on the
net will turn up plenty.

Just be aware of the possible danger, and learn more about them before you
plug it up and walk away. I'm not being melodramatic, it could save your
life. I strongly suspect that like anything else, nobody will care until
someone gets killed. Well, someone I know very well almost did. So I am very
awake on this issue.

Like I said, take it or leave it. just do your own research and see what you
find out. You may be suprised.

-Mike
