They are real pretty in the lights at night also.  Bet you had the places to
yourself in '96.  It does not snow often enough here for poeple to remember
what to do.

Glen, I just happened to be in DC during that big snow of 96. It was funny
because being from Dallas, Texas I had no idea at the time that DC very
infrequently gets snow. Guess I just assumed that anything north of the
Texas Oklahoma border gets snow every year. I remember being surprised that
everyone in DC was freaking out and cars were running off the road all over
the place. I kept thinking, "man these guys from up north don't handle the
snow any better than we do." ;-)

BTW, it was cool checking out the monuments in the snow!
